I made a new(er) osx 10.4.4 Snd image -- ftp://ccrma-ftp.stanford.edu/pub/Lisp/osx-10.4-snd. You can also go to an empty directory, untar the Snd tarball, configure and build it there, and then put the snd image anywhere.
