[PlanetCCRMA] OSS blocking ALSA? (Newbie)

Thank you (Fernando, and Emiliano). I believe that you both were
correct and I am closer to having everything configured.

However, I'm still having conflicts. I used apt-get to install the
audio applications, and several of the applications begin to load and
then disappear. When I attempt to launch Ardour it kicks me out to the
Fedora login screen. Hydrogen launches but it seems to be using the OSS
drivers, when I attempt to go under the preferences it shows JACK as an
option but returns an error. This leads me to believe that JACK is the
source of my problems.

Any thoughts?

I read on the Web site that /sbin/lsmod will give you a list of the
mods, and that I should remove any OSS references. How do you recognize
an OSS mod? Here is a partial list of the mods on my machine:

Also, is there a manual for the envy24control mixer?

Thank you for your hosting these resources, the apt repositories are
awesome!
