[PlanetCCRMA] Choice of partition format for DFD Multisamples?

Heyall,
I've got all my HD partitions formatted in the ext3 extension, as it was
whispered over here and there to be the best solution within Linux for
recoveries after crashes.

I've spared a 15-GB partition specially for Direct-From-Disk triggering
multisampled instruments (particularly later with LinuxSampler already working
on the console only with *.gig files): is ext3 still the best choice?
Won't this cause heavy fragmentation due to journalization?
