After my jack system stabalised I ran it at 128 samples/period, with a make -j2 build of ardour, a build of jamin (over NFS) and running an ecaound into a jamin, with random starts and stops of jqackconnect and ecasound, webbrowsing and all the usual stuff. My cpu meter is wedged hard against the 100% mark. Not one xrun. :)) My system is a pretty modest athlon xp, with a single IDE disk. - Steve
