Aaron -
It looks like the OSS drivers are loading (emu10k1), rather than the
alsa module (snd-emu10k1, etc). Your modules.conf looks fine, so we
have another issue. Perhaps you are missing some alsa rpms?
Did you get any errors with the alsa driver rebuild? Did you install
all of the resultant alsa rpm's (kernel-module-alsa, drivers, lib,
utils...tools optional)? Near the end of the rebuild output, you
should have seen something like this:
Wrote: /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/alsa-driver-0.9.4-2.cvs
..or something similar for each src.rpm that you rebuilt. Did you
install (rpm -ivh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/alsa-driver-0.9.4-2.cvs)
these new rpm's?
Check what you have installed with:
rpm -qa | grep alsa
You should at least see these in the list (along with a few others):
alsa-driver-0.9.4-2.cvs
alsa-kernel-2.4.20-4.ll.acpi.win4lin-0.9.4-2.cvs
alsa-utils-0.9.4-2.cvs
alsa-lib-0.9.4-2.cvs
Send me the result of this on your machine as well as the output of
these:
depmod -a
service alsasound restart
dmesg
