Anyone had problems compiling the driver against planetccrma kernel in RH9 ?
I have:
gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)
and it complained that i was using a kernel compiled by a different
version of gcc and after setting IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH it compiled, but
the nvidia modules refused to load (unresolved symbols).

this i was trying with kernel version 2.4.20-18.1.caps. Then i tried
rebuilding from source, but apt-get source kernel-2.4.20-18.1.caps didn't
find a source package. So I went on rebuilding from source
kernel-2.4.21-1.ll.acpi but i had problems getting my network card working,
module loaded fine but kept giving timeout. So i dropped it.

At the moment i'm sticking with 2.4.20-4.ll.acpi which i could install
and rebuild the nvidia drivers without much hassle (or i can't remember
all i went through wen i installed, back then.
I'm waitng anxiously for an upgrade since my c-port 2000 inputs stopped
working and hope it's a driver/soft thing and not hardware related.

enough of painful personal experiences...

regards,
cables.
