[PlanetCCRMA] on disk filesystem

Dear Planeteers,

Now that I have settled a bit with my eagerness for new software and updates (a
bit only), I've turned to latency issues. In my PIII 800Mhz I've had few or no
xruns when playing things through jack without recording, so I'm fairly
satisfied.
But the other day when recording 2 tracks I've had jack stop ardour after a few
secs. This particular partition is vfat, since I share it with windows.
My questions are?
Does anyone think this would cause worst latency, when recording to disk?
Is there a way to migrate to a different filesystem without losing data?
What would be the preferrable fs? reiserfs?

Cheers,

Carlos
