[PlanetCCRMA] alsa modules i810 on dell laptop?

Hello
I'm having fproblems installing alsa on a dell latitude, soundcard

00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio
Controller (rev 01)

I've installed fedora core 1, from the planetccrma site, and have tried
this with both the redhat and planet ccrma modified kernels.

When i run alsaconf i get the following error message, and do not hear any
sound.

i am told:

suggestions gratefully received.
