What is the error message you get?
Beware that the commands are actually "hdspconf" and "hdspmixer" (all
lower case).

What does "cat /proc/asound/cards" show?
"cat /proc/asound/devices"?

It looks like the module is loaded...

and you also have a usb card, right?

If you have both a usb and the rme card you should probably follow the
instructions on configuring multiple soundcards.
