hi christian and list,

In attempting to compile sooperlooper I had to also build liblo as per
the compile requirements. I'm new to this, as you may tell. I thought
I had succefully installed the library, however on attempting
./configure for sooperlooper, it fails on the liblo requirement - it
can't find the newer version.

specifically:

Library requirements (liblo >= 0.10) not met; consider adjusting the
PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a
nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

sure enough, it appears the library is installed in /usr/local/lib when
the packager is looking in /usr/lib. sorry if this is a screaming noob
kind of question, but how do I compile the library in the right spot, or
point the sooperlooper compiler to the right place?

regards
