Thanks Fonse! That was definitely the problem. Somehow when using ./cvscompile even with --with-kernel option set correctly, the thing didn't work. Using the normal ./configure && make solved the problem, and my Midisport has been recognized. Thanks very much, and beware ./cvscompile ..... Cheers, Andres
