i had one gcc4 problem initially, compiling SC from cvs, but stefan  
cleared that up already. cvs seems up to date on a version that works  
on FC4 (i use planet ccrma too).
SCUM is compiling but isn't fully working for some reason, it  
connects but then throws an error and never shows the server window.

further, i notice that the localhost server will not boot, as it  
seems to want direct access to hw:0. with jack booted, the internal  
server connects no problem, but localhost says hw:0 is in use (quit  
apps that are using it, etc..)
