Fedora Core 3
Pentium 4
Kernel: 2.6.10-2.1.ll.rhfc3.ccrmasmp

Hi CCRMA listers,

This is my first post here. I've been using the Planet for a year now with
Fedora Core 1 and I recently upgraded to Core 3 largely so I could get the
realtime Linux Security Module. But when I run Jack it still complains that
it can't get this. (See output below)

Is this something I still need to "enable" in some way even though the
Planet web site says this kernel has it included?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer this relative newbe trying to
"do" Linux.

Mike

$  jackstart -R -d alsa -d hw -r 44100
jackstart: cannot get realtime capabilities, current capabilities are:
           =ep cap_setpcap-ep
    probably running under a kernel with capabilities disabled,
    a suitable kernel would have printed something like "=eip"

back from read, ret = 1 errno == Success
jackstart: could not give capabilities: Operation not permitted
