[PlanetCCRMA] probs after boot-up

hi,
finally i succeeded in installing apt with the CCRMA collection. Dowloading
went smootly after that. Then the reboot and trying to "apt-get
dist-upgrade" as perscribed in the text.
I got the following message:

[menno@localhost ~]$ apt-get dist-upgrade
error: cannot get exclusive lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Bewerking niet toegestaan (1)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
E: could not open RPM database

and i did see an error at boot-up but it went away too quickly for me to
read.
can someone help me please?
