In a way this is a real shame.
I have been having fits trying to get roesgarden + fluidsynth running
well or or in some case at all ( on my laptop) on both F7 and F8 and yet this was
just fine on earlier versions.
I have more that one laptop ( please don't ask how many ) so it is not a
problem to keep one set up for rosegarden but is a challange to try to
figure out what the problem is on F7, F8,  and for that matter the last
two versions (f&G) of ubuntu.
On the good side, F8 is the first version of Fedora that even comes
close to having a working hibernation and suspend on my any of my LTs.
I still get what looks like little black grains of sand on the display
after about one out of every five resumes.
