[PlanetCCRMA] jack won't start after installing new audio card

More data needed... what version of Fedora or CentOS? What kernel?
(uname -r to know). 

What do you see in:
  cat /proc/asound/cards
and here:
  ls -l /dev/snd/
Looks like you don't have a "first" soundcard (hw:0 does not exist?)
