thanks, jeff.... i've got nvidia running with the rtPAE 2.6.26.8-1.rt16.1 kernel now. i'm no longer getting the out-of-control cpu usage by /usr/bin/X while running ardour, which was my whole reason for pursuing this thing in the first place.
