Probably related to the new modeset settings for video cards (read the
fc12 release notes for more details). You could try adding the nomodeset
to the kernel boot line[(*]

[*] when you are booting press any key to get the menu of kernels,
scroll to the kernel you are booting into if it is not the first, press
"e", go to the kernel boot line, press "e", go to the end of the line
and add "nomodeset" to it without the quotes, press "enter", press "b"
to boot with those options. You might want to remove the "rhgb quiet"
part to see the detailed boot messages.
