Eh... I'm really ignorant when it comes to locale/layout variant
thingies. I always used the US layout even before I moved to US to
avoid such issues. Recently, I switched to dvorak (which I recommend
to eveyone now). It is perfect for typing but it misbehaves when I use
a virtual MIDI keyboard, such as jack-keyboard or vkeybd.

I'm sorry I can't provide much help with this.  But I think it should
be reported to dssi itself, not to a particular synth plugin.
