[PlanetCCRMA] USB (& firewire) interface

This is one question that comes up at regular intervals, that comes up 
at regular intervals, that comes up at regular intervals...

What is missing is a good GUI for configuring ALSA with multiple sound 
cards - the GUI should not only bundle IOs from different sound cards 
but also organise the synchronisation. Whether this could be added as an 
extra to QjackCtl???

ALSA are not interested in GUI based configuration tools as they see 
this as a layer above the ALSA  interface.

I have always obtained the best help on ALSA issues from the jack 
developers (http://jackaudio.org/email).
