Strange.  Is it creating the kmods for your rt kernel? Check:
rpm -qa | grep kmod-nvidia

Did you first uninstall the nvidia driver? I think it is 
"nvidia-installer --uninstall" from wherever you had the patched driver 
installed.

Do you have these packages installed?:  kernel-rtPAE-devel or 
kernel-rt-devel

Did you reboot?

Not sure what else to try other than using yumex to find other nvidia 
things that might be needed or not.
