Just released alsa-tools-1.0.24-1.3.fc14.ccrma, there were more problems 
with hdspmixer (I don't know how I got the previous one to work on one 
computer) so this latest package updates it to the latest alsa-tools git 
plus extra patches by Adrian Knoth released a few days ago. Not tested 
extensively but it does seem to work now (remotely).
