This is probably a long shot. Years ago, on a much earlier Linux System, 
my desktop kept freezing. My sister ended up with that computer and she 
was having problems with Windows. My Brother took the computer apart and 
found something wrong with the hardware. I think the problem she was 
having with Windows disappeared. I don't recall if I ran my Linux System 
on that computer again. But I feel confident the freezing happened 
because of the hardware problem.
