Was it an upgrade?<br><br>Try deleting .Gnome and the like. <br><br>On F8, I get hangs if I run a torrent application whilst using a real-time kernel - transmission is the worst offender. I keep meaning to file a bug report for that but once it hangs, it hangs..<br>

</div>Hmmm, sounds like a timer problem in the new kernel. See what kernels<br>
are available (yum list kernel-rt) and try an older one just to see what<br>
happens.<br>
<br>
You could try booting with some options like "nohz=off" or<br>
"acpi=off" (edit that into the kernel line in grub while booting).<br>
<br>
Sorry you are finding problems...<br>
(in a hurry right now so can't look at the details)<br>
<br>
You could also manually download and install the old fc6 kernel you were<br>
using to see if that fixes the problem.<br>
