<br><br>it s all good now, fedora with planet ccrma kernel seems to be better performing than ubuntu studio but sometime there is a bunch load of work on the HD and it starts reading like crazy and eventually crashing jack<br>

If you have to add it you need to logout and then login again before the<br>
change will be active...<br>

What version of jack do you have installed? Do this from the command<br>
line:<br>
rpm -q jack-audio-connection-kit<br>
