I was hoping that alsa-plugins-jack might be a way to get non-jack apps to play through my firewire interface, but it doesn't seem to work. I get this message when I try to test it:<BR>

aplay: set_params:979: Sample format non available<BR>
<BR>
Does anybody have the jack plugin working with alsa? Or is there a better way for non-jack apps to use the firewire interface?<BR>
