[Stk] relationship between rtaudio buffer size and jack buffer size?

Hi, if this is the wrong list, please let me know. I'm wondering if someone
can explain the relationship between the buffer size I choose in my app for
rtaudio output and the buffer size I choose when starting the jack server?
Is there double buffering going on, or does the app level buffer do anything
at all using jack?
