[PlanetCCRMA] xmas gift audio thrift

Hey all,

Sorry for this post being slightly off topic.

I'm wondering if I could get a recommendation of a high quality external
audio device that uses either usb 1.1 or standard firewire, that I could
use live for audio performances with my prostar 2253 laptop
(http://protofunk.org/?page=bio/mycomputer/index).

I need something with at least 4 channels out and I don't want to break
the bank.

I'm running redhat 9 with planet ccrma acpi kernel and alsa.

Suggestions?
