Huuuuu!! I'm so ashamed! I think that I have wiped out kernel-pcmcia during my operations: synaptic reports that there is no more kernel-pcmcia installed. So this is the reason why my pcmcia network card doesn't work anymore!
Well I will try to grab the rpms manually and bring them on the laptop wia the cdrom drive if needed..
