[PlanetCCRMA] OT sendmail problems after upgrade to fc1

I never made alsa working in redhat 9, until I dowload
the planetccrma apt-fc1 isos and "upgrade" it. But now
the sendmail program is not working. I want to write
in the command prompt mail x@x.xx and send it like
before.
Any advice will be really aprecciated.
