Using Redhat 8.0 and planet ccrma low latency kernel version
2.4.21-1.ll.acpi and the alsa sound driver packages version 0.9.4-2.cvs
pd 0.36 from ccrma. Using .asoundrc from ALSA Quattro docs page:

http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3?company=Midiman&card=USB+Audio+Quattro&chip=Cypress+AN2131XX&module=usb-audio

'pd -alsadev quattro1' and 'pd -alsadev quattro2' work with the 1/2 and
3/4 channels respectively. running 'pd -alsadev quattro' gives the
following output:

couldn't open MIDI input device 1
couldn't open MIDI output device 1
opened 0 MIDI input device(s) and 0 MIDI output device(s).

and we get lots of DIO errors..

The '-alsadev q4' and '-alsadev q4b' options produce the same output.
any suggestions?
