hi,

thanks for your replies. i traced the ¨non-working¨ alsa drivers to a 
physical connection between amp and computer being severed in a hard to 
reach spot. kind of embarassing really. ardour and timidity still won´t 
load though, so Il'l follow up on advice asap.
