Nope, it never disappeared. And I've tried every boot parameter line I
could imagine (acpi=off, noapic, etc...).

No, I haven't tried to install any planetccrma-core-redhat's kernels.

I have two dual P3's machines and they run fine with 1GB SDRAM. Guess that
4/64GB stuff is more appropriate for database massive servers IMO.

Yes. I've got it (kernel-2.4-21-1.ll.acpi.src.rpm) and "ripped" all those
prepared patches (rpm -bp ...). Now I've got my own replica of the
planetccrma-core-smp low-lat kernel. Yet again, the only difference is
that High Memory support turned off on config.

Sorry to notice that. Must switch email client soon. I suppose that only
happens when attachments are included. BTW did you manage to get them OK?
They were just screenshots (real physical, taken by a digital camera) of
the kernel boot panic oops screen.
