For what its worth I've done it on all of my machines - typically only 3 or 4 hops, eg 7.2 -> 7.3 -> 8 -> 9 is the loingest I've done but it generally works well. Planet CCRMA compilcates things though. My last 8 -> 9 wasnt very smooth - Steve
