[PlanetCCRMA] updated: kernels and alsa drivers (IMPORTANT)

I am running CCRMA on a RH 8.0 system. It works really, really, really
really well. So well that I'd hate to break it by upgrading to RH 9 or
fedora. It seem like 8.0 will eventually be left out, if not with this
update, then perhaps in future ones. Soooooo.....

Has anybody had success upgrading from 8.0 to fedora without breaking
their CCRMA? Is fedora stable enough for CCRMA? Is low latency working
well on fedora core 1? I have a lot of experience with fedora on one of
my workstations, but I have not used it for audio work at all.

Also, if I upgrade now, should I expect to upgrade to fedora core 2 when
it is released?

Any advise is welcome. If it ain't broke....
