I was thinking of something else... the feedback you're describing is
already given, either on the main display or on messages window.

What I was thinking is something more appropriate to the very first time
qjackctl is run: the classic first-time-wizard, to let the newbie user
know all about JACK and a chance for initial server parameter setup.
Integrating a nice detection step of optimal values would be nice too, but
that is asking for too much atm ;)

OTOH Does anybody know about a nice and robust algorythm to check if a
program is already up and running? I am finding that quite handy for
qjackctl itself ;) TIA
