[PlanetCCRMA] Audiophile 2496 and others - pro quality impossible

Fighting with xruns at 96000 Hz for 3 days :/ Downgraded to FC3 (fresh
install), removed all the cards (left only AGP videocard and M-Audio
Audiophile 2496), 1000 times tried various BIOS settings, even tried to
plug out IDE cables from  CD - I still have xruns at 96kHz (I cant imagine
sample rate 192kHz on my Athlon 3000+, 1GB RAM >:/ ), tried 3 different
kernels from CCRMA. I suggest to avoid M-Audio cards if you want pro
quality (96kHz 24bit and more) recording and I wonder why they are stated
as recommended on ardour.org. I wonder if anyone here works with
proquality sample formats here.
