Well, I guess it's fixed in the new version? --- Or we should hope?

I checked and it seems that it was 1.9.1-0.svn3117.1.fc9.ccrma.x86_64.rpm from planetccrma-testing that I needed the fix for. You might want to check 1.9.0-1.fc9.ccrma.x86_64.rpm too?

I don't have any way to check what the date was on the old jack directory in /usr/lib/, but I suspect it was put there by an old 386 version of jack and the system or jack looked there first for the libraries.

I just dug through the system and could not find anything unusual in the library paths; but then, I still can't find where fedora tells the linker to look in /lib64/ and /usr/lib64/ first.

As to what "os" I was using; I think I tried to run jack in the most recent ccrma-rt and fedora kernels at the time.
