You can use the line e.g.
   exclude=kernel,kernel-rt,libffado
in /etc/yum.conf. Other than this, for those who have firewire issues,
I made a new libffado build for Fedora 16 with a more recent checkout.
It is available in the Fedora "updates" repo.
