Hi Orcan,

Just a thought, although not technically freezing it.
take a complete disk image of your machine at this point with clonzilla,
so no matter what you have a perfectly perfect recovery point.
I have a fedora 7 DAW that was so perfect, it made me almost cry when I 
lost it.
It just worked so damn well.

anyway it's just a thought.
