[PlanetCCRMA] OT: apt-get dist-upgrade keeps uinstalling Xine?!?

Hmmm, what other stuff happens when you dist-upgrade? When you do the
manual install of Xine, do you have to use "--force" or "--nodeps"? What
does "apt-get check" say?

Probably a conflict between libraries that Planet CCRMA and some other
repository offers. Where are you getting Xine from?
