[PlanetCCRMA] Requesting some advice...

Fernando and all,
I just recently purchased a laptop, an HP 9500t CTO (fully customized HP 9500, 7200 RPM SATA Drives, 511M nVidia Card, 2G Ram, Realtek HiDef Audio, no Bluetooth, but I have WiFi).

The laptop shipped with Vista only, but I now have XP Pro on a second partition, and when I get my Recovery CDs in the mail, I'm going to delete the HP Recovery partition and install CCRMA.

I can't wait!!! =]

Anyhow, I've noticed that since RH5 (that was the last RH I used, installed on a P4 machine, now replaced with this laptop), things like Seq24, Audour, and ZynAddSubFX have all seem to disappear in later versions of CCRMA (RH 6, 7, 8). Hydrogen still seems to be around though... I would like to get CCRMA up and running again, and get my music back into working order, but was wondering what the best approach would be? Do I install RH8 CCRMA, and try to make the older apps work, or go with an older version, like RH5, but take the risk that it might not be compatible with the laptop?

Thanks for any help or advice...

Cheers,
NexxuSix
